Situated just ten minutes from the main town of Kirkwall, Sebay Mill once was responsible for grinding all the grain for the community, but over a period of time it was left to ruin. After three years of careful restoration, the mill is now fully restored, creating six luxury 5-Star Orkney self-catering apartments. Visitors can now enjoy the best of Orkney from their luxury base which offers a great location and unbeatable views of rural Orkney.

Beautiful bespoke interiors to relax in

The internal fittings of each unit has been completed to the highest possible standard, from the hardwood floors to the specially commissioned artworks by Sam MacDonald.

The kitchens are fully equipped with stainless steel cookers, a washer/dryer, a dishwasher and microwave.

The bedrooms are furnished with natural timber fittings and all double rooms have king size beds. The bathrooms all have a separate shower and bath. At Sebay Mill, you’ll find Gilchrest & Soames toiletries, slippers and luxury bathrobes!

In each apartment, you’ll find cleverly designed concealed lighting features to suit all moods. As for other features – you’ll find a TV, a DVD player and CD player (with DVDs and CDs provided), an iron and board, an alarm clock, and a hairdryer. There is private parking directly behind the building and a large garden at the front, with a decking area, a burn and a bridge over the burn which leads to another large garden area!

What’s included

All rentals include electricity, heating and water charges. All linen and towels are also inclusive in the price.

We will meet you on arrival at your apartment to show you around, hand over your keys, and answer any questions you may have. We can also provide directions to your property from the boat or airport.

When you arrive, you’ll find a welcome pack provided, consisting of local Orkney produce including a mini Highland Park whisky, cheese, oatcakes, biscuits and Orkney fudge. Also provided are breakfast cereals, tea, coffee, sugar, milk in the fridge, and washing soaps and washing products for the machines.

Please note: we are very sorry, but pets are not allowed in Sebay Mill.
